The idea was to put on an elegant upper part without a bra, and still have all the support you need for the breast. My tops are made of cotton, with a bit of lycra, and are comfortable and sexy.
   I came to think about tops because I grew up in quiet a warm place, where the heat in the summer often rises above 90 and with 70% humidity it easily becomes unbearable. I am making them since shortly after I got my diploma of fashion design, over 20 years back.
   Much Later in Barcelona, where I was working for a fashion shop during 1998-2000, I found enough reason to think of new designs for new tops. Then I was lucky to find large quantities of small but beautiful pieces of garments; those were leftovers that I could not throw away.
   The city of Barcelona with its universities was full of young, dynamic and daring young girls and I designed and cut attractive tops with a naked back.
    There was rich variety of materials in that collection, so each top was distinct and unique. I used jeans, leather, synthetic fair, wool, soft baby alpaca wool, jersey, and more. I designed cool summer top but also made warm ones for the winter.
    The girls liked them and it was a big success. Barcelona confection industry naturally approved. After all, tops have an obvious economical advantage cause they take half the material of a blouse to make one. I at first used to work with 5 shops, but next summer all the rest of the city was full of them.
   Eventually, light and sexy tops are now common in BCN, and naked backs turned to common spectacles.
